Every answer stacks onto a heatmap and a ranked list of the best windows, so the time that works for the most people is the darkest block on the wall.
Questions
- Do I need an account to use SameWhen?
- No. SameWhen has no accounts, passwords, or email sign-up. You create an event, share the link, and everyone who opens it picks a display name to paint their availability.
- Is SameWhen free?
- Yes. Creating events, sharing the link, and collecting availability are free, and there is no paid tier to upgrade to.
- How many people can answer one event?
- SameWhen is built for a group of friends or a team — roughly a couple of dozen people per event. You can optionally set an expected headcount, which becomes the denominator on the heatmap.
- How does SameWhen handle time zones?
- It does not convert them. Availability is stored as wall-clock time, and everyone in an event is assumed to be in the same local timezone, so nobody's grid shifts because of the device they answered on.
- Can search engines find my event link?
- No. Event pages are served with noindex and a no-referrer policy, and they are excluded from the sitemap and robots.txt, so they stay out of search results. The link is the access control — share it only with your group.
- How long is my event data kept?
- Events are deleted six months after their last date, and deleting an event removes its participants and availability with it.
- How is SameWhen different from a poll or a calendar invite?
- A calendar invite asks people to accept a time you already chose. SameWhen collects 30-minute availability from everyone first and then shows where it overlaps, so the meeting time is a result rather than a guess.
